Christian Raus (born July 31, 1976 ) is a Croatian basketball coach and former player.

career

The player from Croatia  , Raus, a 1.96 meter tall builder and winger, was a member of KK Olimpija Osijek's team before moving to the German Bundesliga club BG Ludwigsburg in 1996  . After relegation from the basketball league , Raus remained loyal to the Ludwigsburg team in the 2nd basketball league  and played for the team until the end of the 1997/98 season. From 1998 to 2000 he then played for the Oldenburg TB in the second division and rose to the Bundesliga with the Lower Saxony in 2000. After this success he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt (2nd Bundesliga). During the 2001/02 season he moved back to Ludwigsburg within the league from Frankfurt.

He worked as a trainer from 2007 to 2010 at ESV Rot-Weiß Stuttgart and from 2010 to 2014 at the Ludwigsburg Basketball Academy. In the 2014/15 season Raus worked for TV Zuffenhausen, in May 2015 he moved to the Austrian second division BBU Salzburg , where he took over the position of head coach and was also involved in the youth sector. In the 2016/17 season he worked for the ASC Theresianum Mainz and, together with Anish Sharda , looked after the team there in the youth basketball league and was assistant coach of the Mainz men's team in the regional league.

For the 2017/18 season, Raus took on the coaching position at the women's second division team Wolfpack Wolfenbüttel , and the split occurred in October 2017. During the summer break of 2018, Raus switched to the youth division of Bundesliga club Basketball Löwen Braunschweig , where he was coach of the U19 team and of the regional league men's team of SG FT / MTV Braunschweig, the cooperation partner of the Löwen. He worked for the SG men until 2019, then continued for the Löwen U19.
