Christian Schmidt-Timmermann

Christian Schmidt-Timmermann (* 1958 in Regensburg ) is a German singer ( bass ) and university professor .

Life

Christian Schmidt-Timmermann received his first musical impulses as a teenager when he was part of the church choir. After graduating from high school, in addition to school music for grammar schools, he also studied solo singing, opera performance, and lieder and oratorio singing at the University of Music in Munich . He then worked as a lecturer in singing at the Mozarteum (Mozarteum Salzburg, Department of Music Education in Innsbruck ) and in Augsburg (now the Leopold Mozart Center ). In 2004 he was appointed professor for singing at the University for Catholic Church Music and Music Education in Regensburg.

In addition to his teaching activities, international concerts and the recording of almost forty CDs testify to his musical work. He is a member of the Singphoniker .
