Christian Wahle

Christian Wahle (born January 14, 1884 in Neumünster , † October 24, 1969 in Braunschweig ) was a German opera singer ( tenor ) and singing teacher .

Life

Christian Wahle, who was born in Neumünster, received his vocal training in Berlin , Munich , Rome and Milan . In 1909 he made his debut at the Court Theater in Sondershausen , and in the 1911/12 season he moved to the City Theater in Plauen . After a guest performance he was engaged at the Opera House in Düsseldorf in 1914 and at the Royal Court Opera in Stuttgart in 1916 . Who gave Wahle since 1917 guest performances in 1919 at the Municipal Theater of Bern obliged. In 1922 he accepted an offer from the Braunschweig State Theater , of which he was a member until 1940. He subsequently lived as a singing teacher in Berlin.

In addition, guest appearances have taken him to the Munich State Opera , the Semperoper , the Zurich Opera House , the Basel City Theater as well as to Oslo , Copenhagen , Belgium , France and Russia . Christian Wahle, who celebrated as a singer of songs successes began as a lyric tenor , later switched roles such as the Tannhäuser , Tristan and Otello in the heroic part.
