Individual championships

She had her greatest chess successes at the women's individual championships in the GDR . In 1970 she won the championship in Freiberg with 9.5 points from 13 games. She was able to defend her title in Strausberg in 1971 with the same result, this time ahead of Gabriele Just . In 1973 she came in second behind Eveline Nünchert in Erfurt , in 1974 in Potsdam behind Petra Feibert (then Petra Feustel ) and Eveline Nünchert in third and in 1975 in Stralsund also third, this time behind Brigitte Hofmann and Petra Feustel. At the end of the scheduled 13 rounds, in 1975 four players were tied with 9.5 points (Petra Feustel, Christina Domsgen, Brigitte Hofmann, Eveline Nünchert), so a play-off tournament was scheduled. In this play-off tournament, Christina Domsgen failed to win any more, so she had to be content with the bronze medal.

Team championships

Playing for the GDR women's national team, she took part in the 1972 Chess Olympiad in Skopje as a reserve player. In 1973 she took part in an international match against Poland. For the team of Saxony-Anhalt she took part in the national championship of women in 1994 in Braunfels . Saxony won the German championship of the regional associations before the women from Berlin, who were defeated in the decisive game 4.5: 3.5.

Until 1973 she played for BSG Chemie Lützkendorf . With the BSG Buna Halle she was GDR team champion in blitz chess in 1973 . She was able to win this title again in 1975 with the HSG PH Potsdam . In 2008 she won the championship again, in the Jewish Museum Berlin with the SK Großlehna . In the 1990s she played for the women's team of SV Buna Schkopau and in general play until 2004 for ESV Merseburg (later SV Merseburg ). In the women's chess league, she has been playing for SK Großlehna since the 2003/04 season , with the greatest success being the runner-up immediately after being promoted again in the 2007/08 season .
