Christof Reichert

Christof Reichert (born February 20, 1967 in Landau in the Palatinate ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since October 1, 2017 .

Life

After attending primary school from 1973 to 1977 in Hauenstein and the Otfried-von-Weißenburg-Gymnasium in Dahn, Reichert completed an apprenticeship at the Hauenstein community from 1983 to 1987 . In parallel to his work as a civil servant at the Hauenstein Association, he graduated from the technical college for economics in Landau from 1987 to 1989. From 1989 to 1992 he studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration Rhineland-Palatinate in Mayen, which was completed with a degree in administrative management (FH). From 1992 to 2014 he was plant manager of the Hauenstein association and municipal works. Before joining the state parliament, he worked at the Rhineland-Palatinate audit office in Speyer .

Christof Reichert joined the CDU in 1983 and was chairman of the CDU community association in Hauenstein from 1995 to 2010. Since 2010 he has been chairman of the CDU district association Southwest Palatinate and since 2013 he has been a member of the board of the CDU district association Rheinhessen-Pfalz.

He was elected to the district council of the Southwest Palatinate district in 1999. Since 2004 he has been an honorary member of the district of Südwestpfalz .

On October 1, 2017, he replaced Susanne Ganster in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . She previously assumed the office of district administrator of the Southwest Palatinate. In the state parliament, Reichert belongs to the committee for science, further education and culture as well as the petitions committee. In addition, Reichert is an elected member of the interregional parliamentary council and the Upper Rhine council.
