Christoph Friedrich Ihm (born October 18, 1767 in Hanau ; † June 9, 1844 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Christoph Friedrich Ihm was the son of the Hanau government member Christian Friedrich Ihm . He attended the school of scholars in Hanau and from 1786 the High Charles School in Stuttgart. From 1788 to 1789 he studied law, political science and natural sciences at the University of Marburg . He spent 1790 to 1792 in the service of the Prince of Solms-Braunfels . From 1792 he was government archivist in Hanau. After he had prepared an extensive legal memorandum for the government in 1799, he was appointed councilor in Hanau in 1800. After the French occupation in 1806, he stayed in Hanau and in 1806 was made senior bailiff in Gelnhausen by the new rulersappointed. In December 1808 he was sent to Erfurt on a diplomatic mission by the Prince Primate, after which he became Secretary General of the Prefecture in Frankfurt. After Napoleon's defeat in the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig , he was commissioned in January 1814 to set up the Landsturm in the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt . In the following years he emerged with several political writings concerning the future constitution of Germany.

In 1816 he became a senator in the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt and was a member of the Landamtsdeputation. In the following years he was a member and director of the reformed consistory for several years.
