Christoph Fromm
Christoph Fromm (born July 17, 1958 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) is a German screenwriter and author .
Life
Christoph Fromm grew up in Ludwigsburg and studied at the University of Television and Film in Munich . During his studies he worked as a camera assistant and lighting technician , including for the cameraman Helge Weindler, who died in 1996 . His final script Hit was successfully filmed by Dominik Graf .
Christoph Fromm has been working as a screenwriter since 1983. He wrote mainly crime stories, among others for the directors Dominik Graf, Torsten C. Fischer and his brother Friedemann Fromm . His most successful works included the adaptation of Uwe Erichsen's novel von Die Katzen (directed by Dominik Graf) and his collaboration on the series Der Fahnder .
In 1984 he published his first short stories in Herodot Verlag. In 1993 a historical novel about Stalingrad was published . Since 2002 Christoph Fromm has headed the script department at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy together with Franziska Buch . In January 2006 he founded Primero Verlag together with Tina Lizius . In 2006 he published his children's book The Adventures of Gottfried Primero at Primero Verlag . In the same year he also published his political thriller The Power of Money . In 2007 he received the German Script Award for Sierra . Together with Primero Verlag, he initiated the “Film Academy Authors Project”, in which young scriptwriters could publish their short stories. Five volumes of short stories have already been created in this context: The glow under the ice , My heart in a strange land, Utopia 07, Otherworld - everything that remains and the pain limit . In 2009 Christoph Fromm, together with his brother Friedemann Fromm , received the International Emmy Award for the ZDF three-part film Die Wölfe , and in 2010 the Grimme Prize for the same work . In 2017 the first volume of his children's book series Gottfried, the Turbo Raven, was published.
