Christoph Georg von Luck

Christoph Georg von Luck (* before 1692; † 1766 ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of garrison regiment No. 1 .

Life

origin

Christoph Georg was a member of the noble family of Luck and came from Crossen . His parents were Christoph George von Luck (1660–1712), heir to Plau and partly Schönow and Muschten , and Sophie Eleonore von Glaubitz and Brieg (1665–1730). From his brothers, Christoph Franz von Luck (1688–1743) advanced to Prussian lieutenant colonel and Franz von Luck to Prussian lieutenant.

Military career

His career in the Prussian Army began in the “Anhalt” regiment . He rose steadily and finally advanced to major in 1743 . In 1744 he commanded a grenadier battalion, which was built on the grenadier companies of the regiments "Kleist" and "Wendessen" . On June 13, 1747 he, now a major in the Dietrich on foot regiment, received the order Pour le Mérite with 18 other officers on the occasion of the general revue in Magdeburg . In September 1754 he was promoted to colonel and was given garrison battalion No. 1. In April 1757 he was given farewell at his own request and received supplies .

He died unmarried in 1766 and the line Schönow-Plau found its way out into the male line with him.
