Christoph Greiff

Christoph Greiff (born July 4, 1947 in Eickelborn ; † February 11, 2007 in Lampertheim ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Greiff studied social sciences , theology and religious education in Darmstadt , Mainz , Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf . After the two state exams, he taught at the technical college in Lampertheim from 1970 to 1976.

Christoph Greiff was married and had one child.

politics

Greiff has been a member of the CDU since 1971 and there from 1972 to 1975 deputy chairman of the CDU Lampertheim and since 1972 member of the district executive committee and later chairman of the CDU Bergstrasse. From 1986 he was also a member of the state board of his party.

In terms of local politics, Greiff had been active as a city councilor in Lampertheim since 1972 and had led the CDU parliamentary group there since 1976. Greiff was also a member of the Bergstrasse district assembly .

Since March 8, 1976, Greiff was a member of the Hessian state parliament. There he was a member of the Council of Elders, the Interior Committee and the Social Policy Committee. He was also deputy chairman of the petitions committee. From 1980 he sat on the board of the CDU parliamentary group. After six terms, he resigned from parliament on April 4, 1995.

Honors

In 1990 Christoph Greiff was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
