Christoph Lengwiler

Christoph Lengwiler (born June 16, 1959 ) is a Swiss economist and politician ( CVP ).

Life

Lengwiler studied business administration and economics at the University of Zurich from 1979 to 1984 . After graduating, he worked as an assistant at the Institute for Swiss Banking at the University of Zurich. In 1987 he was awarded a Dr. oec. publ. PhD .

Since 1987 he has been a lecturer or professor at the University of Lucerne (HSLU). From 1992 to 1997 he was deputy head of the Institute for Business and Regional Economics (IBR) at HSLU, from 1997 to 2017 he set up and headed the Institute for Financial Services Zug (IFZ) at HSLU in Zug . From 1997 to 2001 and from 2004 to 2017 he was a member of the Department of Economics at HSLU. In addition, from 2002 to 2017 he was a lecturer for the introduction to business administration at the Law Faculty of the University of Lucerne .

From 1991 to 1999 he was President of the Academy for Adult Education (AEB) Lucerne . Since 1998 he has been a member of what is today the Higher Technical School Commission (HF Commission) of the KV Vocational Academy in Lucerne. From 2000 to 2014 he was Head module for the subject of corporate finance (corporate finance) in training to become a certified. Auditor at «EXPERTsuisse». From 2001 to 2016 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Luzerner Kantonalbank , from 2004 to 2011 he was Chairman of the Audit Committee and 2011-2016 Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. From 2005 to 2017 he was a member of the Board of shaPE Capital AG , one on the SIX Swiss Exchange -listed private equity - fund of funds . He was a co-initiator and from 2006 to 2019 a member of the board of the “ CFO Forum Switzerland” founded in 2006 , an association of chief financial officers with around 700 members. He is also a co-initiator and, since 2011, Vice-President of swissVR, an association of Swiss boards of directors with over 850 members. Christoph Lengwiler has been a member of the 11-member bank council of the Swiss National Bank since spring 2012 . Since summer 2014 he has been chairman of the examination board. Christoph Lengwiler has been a member of the Board of Directors of Berner Kantonalbank since May 2016 . Since 2017 he has also been Chairman of the Management Board of the KBA-NotaSys Integrity Fund (www.integrityfund.ch).

Lengwiler is a member of the CVP. From 1987 to 1994 he was a member of the residents' council of the municipality of Kriens and from 1991 to 2005 and from 2011 to 2012 a member of the Lucerne Cantonal Council .
