Mick made his debut in the World Cup at Plan de Corones in January 2006 and finished 56th in the parallel giant slalom. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2008 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he won silver in the parallel slalom. At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he reached his first top ten placement in the World Cup with tenth place in the parallel slalom in Landgraaf . In January 2011 he won 34th place in parallel slalom and 14th place in parallel giant slalom at the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina . At the following World Championships in 2013 in Stoneham , he came in 30th place in the parallel slalom. At his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he finished 28th in the parallel giant slalom and 20th in the parallel slalom. In the following season he came on the podium for the first time in the World Cup in Bad Gastein with second place in the parallel slalom. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he came 11th in the parallel slalom. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he won his first World Cup victory in the parallel slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo . Furthermore, he came under the top ten three times during the season and at the end of the season he finished seventh in the parallel giant slalom world cup, sixth in the parallel world cup and fifth in the parallel slalom world cup. In the following season he reached two top ten placements in the World Cup. He won his second World Cup victory in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein and at the end of the season he finished tenth in the parallel world cup and third in the parallel slalom world cup. At the season highlight of the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he finished 31st in the parallel slalom and 24th in the parallel giant slalom. In the 2017/18 season he was ninth in the parallel slalom World Cup and Italian champion in parallel slalom.
Since 2004 Mick has also started in the European Cup. He has taken three wins so far. His best overall ranking was eighth in the 2009/10 season .
