Christoph Post

Christoph Heinrich Post (born July 13, 1965 in Meschede ) is a German journalist, TV producer and media entrepreneur. Together with Jörg A. Hoppe and Marcus O. Rosenmüller he founded the film and TV production GmbH Me, Myself & Eye (MME) in Hamburg in 1991 and DEF Media GmbH in 2010. In 1993 he co-founded the music channel VIVA Media , of which he was a partner until 1994.

Career

After graduating from high school in 1984, Christoph Post studied journalism and musicology in Münster at the OSB order school of the Benedictines in Meschede. After first journalistic activities, u. a. for the Westfalenpost and the trade journal Musikmagazin , he worked as a freelance TV producer for the WDR -Landesstudio Münster, before completing an internship at Deutsche Musicbox (later Tele 5 ) in 1988 and for the programs "POP", "Made in Germany" and "Yesterday" was responsible.

In 1991 he founded the Film- und TV-Produktions GmbH Me, Myself & Eye (MME) together with Hoppe and Rosenmüller , of which he was managing director and board member from 1991 to 2009. MME was converted into an AG in 2000 and publicly listed on the Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in November 2000. In 1993 he was a co-founder of the German music channel VIVA , of which he was the first program director until 1994. From 1994 to 1999 he was also the program manager of the music channel VH-1 Germany, and during this time also partly creative director of MTV Central. In 2009 he founded DEF Media GmbH in Berlin, to which Jörg A. Hoppe joined in 2010.

During his activities as station manager he brought u. a. Heike Makatsch and Stefan Raab on the screen. He also produced TV formats, shows, documentaries, documentaries and magazines for the TV stations ARD (José Carreras Gala; Echo Awards), arte (tracks; Europe's heritage - the great playwrights; musicplanet2nite), Discovery (Street Customs) , HBO (Dezo Hoffmann - The Beatles' Photographer), KiKa (Fun Factory), MDR (Songs of a Night), ORF (Blockstars - Sido Makes a Band), Premiere (U2 - A History), ProSieben (Sarah & Marc in Love; iTunes Festival; Gülcans Traumhochzeit; Simply the best; Live Earth, Frank der Weddingplanner), RTL (Top of the Pops), RTL 2 (Bravo TV; The Dome; Loveparade; Big in America; The Pop Years), Sat 1 ( The best idea in Germany), VIVA (Are you hot?), Vox (Do you have tones?), WDR (Echo Jazz), ZDF (Our best; Sunday Night Classics; x-base - the Computer Future Club). In addition, through the company mme: cc, he developed websites for Der Spiegel , Tagesschau , TV Movie and MTV , music streaming offers (eyedoo.de and shownet.de), web soaps (deer lucy and they call us candy girls) and managed them online lead agency for Expo 2000 in Hanover.

Christoph Post has three children and lives in Berlin.
