Christoph Preuss (born July 4, 1981 in Gießen ) is a German former soccer player and today's soccer official . He works as a team manager at Eintracht Frankfurt .

career

Growing up in Linden in Hesse , he also played there for TSV Großen-Linden before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt . There he became a U-17 national player and went through all the youth teams of the DFB up to U-21 . He played a total of 47 games for DFB youth national teams and scored six goals.

His first professional team was also the Frankfurt Eintracht, but in his first season as a Bundesliga player, the Eintracht rose promptly. After a year in the second division, he moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 2002 , where he made a few games in the Bundesliga and also in the Champions League , but failed to make a breakthrough due to injury. In 2003 he made the move back to Frankfurt, where he became a service provider, but could not prevent his relegation. The VfL Bochum was then in 2004/05 his next stop, but also with Bochum he could not hold the class.

From the 2005/06 season he will play again for Eintracht Frankfurt, which had managed to get promoted again immediately after a year in the second Bundesliga.

On March 17, 2007, Christoph Preuß scored the goal with an overhead kick to make it 1-0 against FC Bayern Munich . This goal against Oliver Kahn was voted goal of the month for March and second in the choice of goal of the year.

In the following years, several serious injuries to his right knee threw him back again and again. Shortly after his comeback at Frankfurter Eintracht, he announced his retirement from professional football on January 28, 2010 due to a repeated injury to his right knee. In 2010 Preuß began studying sports management and completed a trainee program at Eintracht Frankfurt. At the end of his studies he was permanently employed in the field of the licensed player department. Since summer 2012 he has been the team manager of the Eintracht Frankfurt Bundesliga team.
