Christoph Wertwein
Christoph Wertwein (* around 1512 in Pforzheim ; † 1553 in Vienna ) was the Catholic administrator of the Diocese of Wiener Neustadt and appointed Bishop of Vienna .
Life
He was court preacher and confessor of King Ferdinand , administrator of the Diocese of Wiener Neustadt from 1550 and was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Vienna on February 18, 1552 . Before any papal confirmation was given and before he was ordained bishop, he died of the effects of an injury sustained when he fell from his horse.
