Christoph von Lieven
Christoph Andrejewitsch Prince of Lieven ( Russian Христофор Андреевич Ливен , also Christoph Heinrich , born May 6, 1774 in Kiev ; also: 1777 ; † January 10, 1839 in Rome ) was a general of the Russian army and diplomat .
Christoph Heinrich von Lieven comes from the old Baltic family Lieven . The mother was Charlotte von Lieven . He was first Minister of War , from 1809 envoy in Berlin and from 1812 to 1834 in London , where he was very involved in the negotiations on the liberation of Greece and the separation of Belgium . He was then appointed curator of Grand Duke Alexander . He died in Rome on January 10, 1839.
He was married to Dorothea Fürstin von Lieven (née von Benckendorff), who played a prominent role in diplomatic circles .
