Christophe-Louis Légasse (born August 25, 1859 in Bassussarry , † July 30, 1931 in Périgueux ) was a French Roman Catholic bishop of Oran and Périgueux .

Life

Christophe-Louis Légasse was ordained a priest on July 13, 1884 . Leo XIII. appointed him on November 14, 1899 as Apostolic Prefect of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon . Benedict XV appointed him Bishop of Oran on December 6, 1915 .

The Archbishop of Bordeaux , Cardinal Paulin-Pierre Andrieu , donated him episcopal ordination on February 22nd of the following year ; Co -consecrators were François-Xavier-Marie-Jules Gieure , Bishop of Bayonne-Lescar-Oloron , and Laurent Marie Étienne Monnier , Bishop of Troyes .

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Périgueux on August 13, 1920.
