Christopher Juul-Jensen (born July 6, 1989 in Kilmacanogue , Ireland ) is a Danish road cyclist.
Athletic career
Christopher Juul grew up as the son of Danish parents in Ireland and started mountain biking there . When numerous roads were closed there in 2001 because of the foot and mouth disease , he switched to the street. In 2005 he started for Ireland at the European Youth Olympic Festival . At the age of 16 he moved to Denmark for school reasons.
In 2007 Juul won a stage at the Tour du Pays de Vaud in the junior class and also won the overall standings. In the same year he was together with Rasmus Guldhammer and Ricky Jørgensen Danish champion in the team time trial of the youth class. From 2008 Juul drove for the Danish Continental Team Glud & Marstrand . In the 2010 season he finished eighth in the U23 event in Liège-Bastogne-Liège and second in the U23 road race of the national championship. In 2011 Juul was again U23 runner-up in the road race and won the overall standings at the Coupe des Nations Ville Saguenay . After four years at Glud & Marstrand, he moved to the Danish ProTeam Saxo Bank in 2012 , where in his first season he was primarily to act as a team helper and gain experience.
In 2015 Christopher Juul became Danish champion in the individual time trial and won the overall ranking of the Tour of Denmark . The following year he finished 32nd in the road race at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
In 2018, Juul won the fourth stage of the Tour de Suisse .
