Christopher Le Brun
Christopher Le Brun (born December 20, 1951 in Portsmouth , United Kingdom ) is a British visual artist who is best known as a painter.
Le Brun received his education from 1970 to 1974 at the Slade School of Fine Art and from 1974 to 1975 at the Chelsea School of Art . From 1976 to 1983 he was a lecturer at the art schools in Brighton, Slade and Wimbledon. Le Brun's representational style of painting is reminiscent of works of symbolism such as B. Arnold Böcklin and Gustave Moreau . Since 1990 Le Brun has also been intensively involved with the art of etching . In 2011 he was elected President of the Royal Academy of Arts .
