Christos Papadimitriou ( Greek Χρήστος Παπαδημητρίου , born January 10, 1994 in Athens ) is a Greek football player .
Club career
AEK Athens
Christos Papadimitriou joined the youth department of AEK Athens in 2008 . In the 2012/13 season , the offensive player completed his first professional appearances for this club. On matchday 3, he was substituted on for Taxiarchis Foundas in a 1-1 draw against Aris Thessaloniki in the 66th minute , making his debut in the Super League . He played four more games by the end of the season. In addition to the sporting descent, Athens also had to file for bankruptcy in May 2013 and was therefore relegated to the third division .
RB Leipzig
At the beginning of the 2013/14 season Papadimitriou was obliged by the German third division promoted RB Leipzig . During the first half of the season he only made a brief appearance against SV Elversberg . Already during the winter break Papadimitriou was awarded to second division club FC Liefering , a farm team of FC Red Bull Salzburg , in Austria .
Via Inter Leipzig to Cottbus
In August 2014, the Saxon state division Inter Leipzig announced that they had signed the former RB player. With Inter he rose as runner-up in the Oberliga Nordost , Papadimitriou had contributed with 15 league goals. In the following league season 2015/16 he scored nine goals and took second place in the table with Leipzig.
In the winter break of 2016/17 Papadimitriou was loaned to the regional league team Eintracht Trier . There he played twelve games and scored two goals. In the Rhineland Cup he reached the final with Trier, where he came on after the half-time break. Trier lost the game against TuS Koblenz 2-1.
After the loan ended, he moved to Energie Cottbus .
FC masonry
In July 2018 he moved to Austria a second time , where he joined the regional league team FC Mauerwerk .
National team
In qualifying for the U-19 European Football Championship in 2013 , he played twice as a substitute for the Greek U-19 national team in October 2012.
