This list is a partial list of the chronicle of the city of Munich . It lists events in the history of Munich in the 12th century.
1157
- November 23: The Bavarian Duke Heinrich the Lion draws up a certificate for the church of Ranshofen in Upper Austria, probably on the occasion of a state parliament in Regensburg. Heinrich's stay in Bavaria is often mentioned as a possible point in time for the establishment of the Munich market .
1158
- June 14th: Augsburger Schied , first documented mention of Munich as the market “forum apud Munichen”. Market, customs and coin in Munich are confirmed by the emperor, but the bishop of Freising receives a third of the income.
1163
- first documentary mention of Neuhausen as "Niwenhusen"
1166
- 15th May First documentary mention of Forstenried as "Uorstersriet"
1167
- first mention of a Munich office bearer, the dean or pastor "Heribort decanus de Munichen".
1175
- first mention of a wall building "... qui muro praeest". It is unclear whether it is the first city wall or a castle wall from the previous building of the old courtyard .
1180
- July 13th: Regensburg arbitration , withdrawal of the Augsburg arbitration, Munich reverts to the Bishop of Freising.
1186
- April 3rd: first documentary mention of Kemnaten , today's Nymphenburg , as "Chemenaten"
1200
- First recorded stay of a Duke of Bavaria ( Ludwig der Kelheimer ) and a Bishop of Freising ( Otto II. Von Berg ) in Munich.
- first documentary mention of Denning as "Tenningen"
