This list is a partial list of the chronicle of the city of Munich . It lists events in the history of Munich from the 18th century.

  • April 14th: Laying of the foundation stone for Schleissheim Palace
  • May 22nd: Elector Maximilian II Emanuel enters Munich after his return from the Netherlands to Bavaria
  • September 17th execution and subsequent cremation of Maria Theresia Käser as a witch. This is the last documented burning of witches in Munich, a case recorded for 1721 has not been proven.
  • Construction of the Nymphenburg Canal

  • April 5: An order from the Court War Council in Vienna to bombard Munich is not carried out by the local commanders.
  • 16./17. May: Handover of the city to the Imperial troops.
  • July 24th: first mention of a Jew in Munich since the expulsion in the 15th century. Apparently the Jews returned to Munich in the wake of the Austrian troops.
  • December 24th: The rebels from Oberland arrive in front of Munich on the night of the 25th conquest of the Red Tower
  • December 25th: Murder Christmas in Sendling

  • October 23: Elector Karl Albrecht returns from Frankfurt as Emperor Karl VII to Munich, the city is once again the imperial residence for a short time.

  • March 18: Elector Karl Theodor orders the razing of the bastion in front of the Neuhauser Tor and the redesign of the supply into the city, which leads to the construction of Karlsplatz .
