Chrysostom Zodel
Chrysostomus Zodel (born October 10, 1920 in Kleinweiler-Hofen , † September 2, 1998 in Leutkirch im Allgäu ) was a German journalist .
Career
Zodel first attended as a boarder of the St. Ottilien Archabbey connected Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium St. Ottilien before he as a soldier in World War II participated. After returning from British captivity, he became a journalist for the Stuttgarter Nachrichten in 1947 and was its editor-in-chief from 1960 to 1963 .
Subsequently, until his retirement in 1988 he was editor-in-chief of the Schwäbische Zeitung, which appears in Leutkirch im Allgäu . Under Zodel's leadership, the Schwäbische Zeitung was a respected regional newspaper with a conservative orientation.
