Chukwuebuka Enekwarti gained his first international experience at the 2017 World Championships in London , where he was eliminated from the qualification with 19.72 m . In 2018 he took part in the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , where he finished 14th with 19.78 m. At the beginning of April, he participated in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast , where he won the silver medal behind the New Zealander with a new best of 21.14 m Tomas Walsh . He then won the gold medal at the African Championships in Asaba with a new championship record of 21.08 m, ahead of the Egyptian Mohamed Magdi Hamza . The following year he took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time and won there with a new player record of 21.48 m, which meant he qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he reached the finals and there with 21.18 m took eighth place.
In 2016 he became the Nigerian champion in the shot put. He is a student at Purdue University .
