action
Georgia Benfield is at a difficult time in her life. Her husband left her for a younger woman and her son is in the middle of puberty. It is precisely during this time that her mother Charlotte becomes a need for care. She can no longer live alone and moves into the house with Georgia. Georgia is not very enthusiastic about that. Her mother abused her in childhood and the two do not have a very good relationship. After the mother moved in, Georgia and Georgia repeatedly had conflicts. After all, the two children from Georgia notice that too. One day Georgia's mother has injuries to her body. When Georgia is approached by her children, she claims that her mother just fell. Eventually Georgia is caught beating her mother. This ultimately leads to the debate between mother and daughter. Georgia's mother needs to realize that when she was a child she made mistakes by beating them. Georgia herself notices that she repeats these mistakes on her mother. To make the situation a little more comfortable for everyone, Georgia and her mother finally choose a retirement home together. Georgia decides to visit her mother there often and her mother also seems very satisfied with the other elderly people.

criticism
Hal Erickson of the New York Times said that Geraldine Fitzgerald was delivering a heartbreaking performance. In addition, the performance of River Phoenix is of particular interest. Even John J. O'Connot by the magazine TV Weekend presentation by Geraldine Fitzgerald and lifted Tuesday Weld particularly prominent. He spoke of a sad, terrifying story that plays out similarly in millions of households. Arthur Unger from Monitor Magazine also praised the two leading actresses. However, the drama is simply not good enough to allow meaningful exploration of this contemporary topic.
