history

The Ciudad de Sevilla was built under construction number 141 at Union Naval de Levante in Valencia and was launched on October 18, 1979. After its delivery to the Trasmediterránea on June 28, 1980, the ship began the ferry service between Barcelona and Palma on July 1 .

On July 4, 1983, the Ciudad de Sevilla arrived for repairs at its shipyard in Valencia. The ship could not be put back into service until March 17, 1985.
