Macroscopic features

The thallus scales of Cladonia coniocraea (Flörke) Spreng. are up to 2 mm wide, sometimes sorediose . While the top is gray-green and the edge is curved upwards, the bottom is white. The stems ( Podetien ) are up to 3 cm long, finely floured and sorediosis. These are unbranched and converge to a point. When dry, the color of the podia is gray-green and when wet, it is green. The fruit bodies ( apothecia ) are brown and sit on the tip of the pedestals, where they can sometimes not be seen properly.
