The parish is bordered to the east by Jeffersonville , to the north by Sellersburg and to the south by Louisville , Kentucky . The city is part of the Louisville metropolitan area . The Falls of the Ohio State Park is within the city limits.
history
The city was founded in 1783 and is one of the oldest parishes in the Northwest Territory . It was named after the founder George Rogers Clark , a general in the American Civil War . The Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain was founded in Clarksville in 1993.
