Classica Sarda

The Classica Sarda Cagliari – Sassari (formerly Sassari – Cagliari , GP Alghero (1965–1967), Monte Urpino (1975), Cagliari – Sassari (1951, 1980, 1982) and Classica Sarda Olbia – Pantogia (2010)) is an Italian road bike race .

The one-day race has been held between Sassari and Cagliari in Sardinia since 1948 . The competition has been part of the 1.1 category of the UCI Europe Tour since 2010 . The race takes place immediately after the Giro di Sardegna and is organized by the same organization. Record winners are the Belgians Roger De Vlaeminck , Edgard Sorgeloos and the Italian Giancarlo Polidori with two successes each.

The 2010 event was held between Olbia and Pantogia . Since 2011, Cagliari and Sassari have been the starting and finishing points again.
