Claude Evrard (born July 29, 1933 in Versailles as Claude Thébaud , † April 20, 2020 in Clamart ) was a French actor .

Life

Claude Evrard studied acting with Jacques Lecoq from 1957 to 1959 . He quickly established himself as a theater actor and played as a permanent member of various theater groups at several theaters in France. He was at the Théâtre National Populaire and the Théâtre de Paris ; he also appeared regularly at the Avignon Festival . For his performance in A Month in the Country , a play by Turgenev, he was nominated for the renowned Molière Theater Prize in 1989 for Best Supporting Actor.

Evrard made his film debut in 1960 in a minor supporting role in the television film Cyrano de Bergerac . By the end of his career in 2015 with the love comedy With the Heart Through the Wall , he played in over 60 film and television productions. In the German comedy film Didi in full swing , with Dieter Hallervorden in the lead role, he played Leon in a minor supporting role. He was dubbed by Arnold Marquis .

On April 20, 2020, Evrard died at the age of 86 during the COVID-19 pandemic in France as a result of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. He was married to actress Danièle Ajoret since 1959 .
