Claude Hamelin

Claude Hamelin (born July 10, 1952 in Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington , Québec , Canada ) is a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil .

Life

Claude Hamelin received on 3 December 1977, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 22 December 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Apollonia and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Saint-Jean-Longueuil. The Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil, Lionel Gendron PSS , ordained him episcopal on March 18 of the following year . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Jacques Berthelet CSV and the Bishop of Joliette , Raymond Poisson .

On November 5, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil. The inauguration took place on January 10 of the following year.
