Claude Jean-Prost (born November 20, 1936 - † January 8, 2018 ) was a French ski jumper .

Career

Jean-Prost made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1959/60 . After rank 25 on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf and rank 35 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he achieved his best result with rank 19 in Innsbruck on the Bergiselschanze . In the overall standings he reached 32nd place with 587.6 points.

At the following Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley , he achieved 26th place from the normal hill with jumps on 84.5 and 75.5 meters.

After a year off, Jean-Prost started his second and final Four Hills Tournament . At the Four Hills Tournament in 1961/62 , however, he only jumped in Oberstdorf and only came in 50th there. In the overall ranking he reached 83rd place.

Jean-Prost's last international tournament started at the 1962 Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane . From the large hill he jumped to a weak 84.5 and 81 meters and ended up only in the rear midfield on 51st place. After landing at 63 and 62.5 meters on the normal hill, he finished 42nd.

His son Nicolas was also successful as a ski jumper.
