Claudia Peter (Germanist)

Claudia Peter (* 20th century in Stuttgart ) is a German German scholar , art historian and lecturer as well as journalist and author . She has lived and worked on the Costa Blanca in Spain since the early 1990s .

Life

Claudia Peter studied at the University of Stuttgart German and art history and graduated with a M. A. from. She also worked as a journalist in the culture department of the Stuttgarter Nachrichten and was involved in museum education at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart . In 1990 she moved to the Spanish Mediterranean coast and settled in the Spanish province of Alicante . She worked as an art historian, did translations and was a journalist. So she was u. a. For four years she was editor- in- chief of the regional German-language weekly coastal magazine , which primarily addressed the relatively high proportion of German-speaking residents of the Costa Blanca.

Peter has been a lecturer at the University of Alicante since 1999 , where he teaches at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature in the Department of Traduccion e Interpretacion (German for ' Translation and Interpreting '). Since 2001 she has also been a lecturer and tutor for German as a Foreign Language (DaF) at Spain's National Distance University  - the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) - at their regional study center in Dénia (UNED DENIA). In addition, she has been the coordinator of the university language center CUID in Dénia since 2005.

In addition, Peter is involved in the training and further education of German teachers and translators in Spain and is active in the German-speaking cultural group in Dénia and in the senior education program UNED SENIOR DÉNIA.

Peter publishes in German and Spanish . She translated u. a. art historical specialist texts, interviews and poems, published several art guides and exhibition catalogs and wrote a biography about German constructivism - artist Hans Dieter Zingraff , who has lived in Dénia since 1972. In addition, she published several textbooks and learning books in the field of German as a Foreign Language (DaF), such as a DaF comic, a DaF teacher's manual, didactic material and, most recently, DaF novels (German language reading A1, A2, B1 and B2).
