Claudia Tonn

Claudia Tonn (born April 18, 1981 in Viernheim , Hessen ) is a former German heptathlete .

The trained physiotherapist started for the LC Paderborn until the end of 2008 and then for the LAV Hamburg-Nord . After the 2009 season, Claudia Tonn ended her sporting career. She studied at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences .

After twelfth place in Athens in 2004, Tonn was on the squad for the European Championships in Gothenburg in August 2006 . Claudia Tonn originally wanted to start in the heptathlon and long jump. After a foot injury that she sustained at the German Championships in Ulm , she canceled her participation in the heptathlon on August 1st and only registered for the long jump . On August 11th, however, she also decided not to start the long jump. In the spring of 2007, she narrowly missed participation in the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka against strong competition.

Claudia Tonn was trained by Uwe Florczak .
