Claudio Palumbo (born January 30, 1965 in Venafro , Province of Isernia , Italy ) is Bishop of Trivento .

Life

Claudio Palumbo received on 15 August 1990, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1993 to 1998 he was Vice Rector of the Regional Papal Seminary of Chieti. In 1994 he obtained a licentiate in church history from the Pontifical Gregorian University and then taught this subject at theological institutes. The doctorate took place in 2006. In 2009 Palumbo became vicar general of the diocese of Isernia-Venafro . In the same year Pope Benedict XVI awarded him . the title of Honorary Prelate to His Holiness .

On June 5, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Trivento. The episcopal ordination took place on September 8, the solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) on September 23 of the same year.
