Claus Killing-Günkel

Claus Killing-Günkel (née Günkel ; born October 9, 1963 in Eschweiler ) is a German teacher and interlinguist .

Life

He attended the municipal high school in Eschweiler . From 1982 to 1992 he studied mathematics, computer science and French at RWTH Aachen University and the University of Paderborn . At the latter he was a lecturer in the field of education in 1993 and 1994 . He has been working as a teacher since 1997 and at the Nell-Breuning Vocational College in Rhöndorf since 1999 . He is also a city ​​guide and was a board member of the Eschweiler history association and the Nothberger Burg sponsors' association until 2012 . He has two children and currently lives in Cologne ; since 2010 he has been called Killing-Günkel.

Activity related to Esperanto and Interlingua

Killing-Günkel was responsible for publications in the Esperanto movement, organized international meetings and founded an Esperanto youth group in Eschweiler. He learned Esperanto in 1981 in a study group .

He is an Esperantologist , member of the " Society for Interlinguistics " (GIL) and the Academic Board of the International Academy of Sciences in San Marino (AIS) and lecturer in mathematics at the international Scienca Revuo .

His area of ​​activity within Esperantology includes lexicology , etymology , Esperanto offshoots (so-called Esperantiden ) and language propaedeutics in the context of cybernetic pedagogy . The first classifications of the Esperantids were made by him. He has contributed to various Esperanto reference works and aids, including the 2002 Plena Ilustrita Vortaro .

Since November 2018, Killing-Günkel has been working intensively with the, in contrast to Esperanto, naturalistic planned language Interlingua .
