Clive Eric Thomas

Clive Eric Thomas (born November 24, 1971 ;) is an Anglican priest in the Caribbean island state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines .

Life

Youth and education

Thomas is a son of Stella and Ernest Thomas from La Digue in Parish St. Andrew , Grenada . He began his education at the Holy Innocent Anglican Primary School at St. Joseph Convent , Grenville , Grenada. He then moved to Codrington College in Barbados and later to the University of the West Indies , Cave Hill, Barbados . He was ordained a deacon on June 29, 1995 and a priest on July 25, 1996.

Career

During his career, Thomas was Chairman of the Conference of Churches Grenada , Chaplain of the Grenada Scouts Association , Director of the Board of the Grenada Cultural Foundation , Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grenada Cultural Foundation and District Disaster Management Coordinator for Southeast St. George's , Grenada. In this office he participated in civil protection in Grenada and in the formulation of guidelines for the same, especially after Hurricane Ivan and in the following years.

He is Rector of St. Matthew's Anglican Parish , Biabou in St. Vincent , and Canon (Canon) of Cathedral Church in St. George, and since 2011 Archdeacon of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Church's Diocese of the Windward Islands in the Province of the West Indies .

He is married to Claudia Wendine Thomas, geb. Harewood, from St. David's Village , Christ Church, Barbados . The two have two children.
