CSSO (Abbreviation for Clotted Symmetric Sexual Organ ) was a Japanese grindcore band. She combined Grindcore with influences from Psychedelic Rock and called her style "Grind Rock". The texts are partly in Japanese and partly in English .

Band history

The group was founded in 1991 by guitarist Sumito Sekine ( ス ミ ト , Sumito ) and bassist Takashi ( カ ツ ヤ マ , Katsuyama ) in Tokyo under the name Gastric Juice. The following year, Narutoshi Sekine ( ナ ル ト シ , Narutoshi ), Sumito Sekine's younger brother, joined the band as a singer and was subsequently responsible for the songwriting . The group renamed itself a little later in Alternate Deadbody . In 1993 the band recorded their first demo when Junji was helping out as a drummer from Maggoty Corpse. Shortly thereafter, the group renamed itself CSSO, the abbreviation stands for "Clotted Symmetric Sexual Organ". End of the year, the German independent label offered Morbid Records the group a contract for a split - EP on. This appeared in early 1994. In the meantime Makoto (ex-Euthanasia) had become a permanent drummer, and CSSO recorded a number of contributions to the sampler . Eventually the band was signed to Morbid Records for a full album, which was recorded in August 1995 and released in 1996. Drummer Makoto left the group in 1996 and was Susumu ( ヨシカワ , Yoshikawa replaced), followed in August / September 1996 Europe - tour under the name Grind Over Europe together with Dead Infection and Haemorrhage . 1997 Relapse Records released the EP Diversion of Former Customary Trite Composition . After drummer Susumu had to leave the band due to a lack of interest in live performances, drummer Takeshi ( ト シ マ , Toshima ) came in 1998 . In the spring of 1999 CSSO's first tour of Latin America took place. In 2000 the group recorded their second studio album Are You Excrements , which was released in 2001 on Morbid Records. In 2002 Sumito and Narutoshi Sekine founded the short-lived project Black Flower , drummer Takeshi reformed his band Butcher ABC , in which Narutoshi Sekine was also involved. The last band release was in 2003 a split EP with the Spanish Goregrind band Tu Carne , which included live recordings by CSSO from December 2002. Since then there have been no other releases or live performances by the group.
