Coco Grayson (born November 15, 2000 in Jackson Heights , Queens , New York City , New York ) is an American actress , child actress and voice actress .

Life

Coco Grayson was born on November 15, 2000 in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of New York's largest borough in Queens, and started acting at the age of five. She was trained classically in the Stanislavski system and the Meisner technique and appeared in leading roles in various pieces at the Flat Rock Playhouse at a young age , where she was used in all genres. After she was discovered by a top ten talent agent from Los Angeles in 2009, she flew to the West Coast in 2009, where she focused on her acting career and made her film debut the following year with the feature film The Wish List . In the comedic-romantic drama, she mimed a younger version of the protagonist character Sarah Fischer portrayed by Jennifer Esposito . This year she was also used in the short film The Mis-Informant - with Jack Black as Nathan Spewman, alongside other young actors such as Caitlin Carmichael , Connor Gibbs and Trenton Rogers .

She also had a guest appearance as Shirin Shirazi that year in an episode of The CW series 90210 . In 2011 she was a guest in a minor role in a segment of the talk show Conan by and with Conan O'Brien . The real breakthrough followed a year later, when she appeared as the voice of Princess Hildegard in the pilot film by Sofia the First - Suddenly Princess , and has still played this speaking role in the series to date (February 2016). Her supporting role as Abigail Arroyo in the Amazon video series Gortimer Gibbon - My Life on Normal Street also contributed to her international fame. Parallel to her acting career, Grayson also appears as a ballet dancer and appeared in Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker in 2008 . She also recorded three soundtrack songs for Walt Disney Records in the course of her career so far .

In the German-language dubbed versions, various dubbing artists took over their voices. So in Sofia the first Angelina Geisler took over the German voice, while in Gortimer Gibbon Farina Brock was Grayson's German voice.

She is closely related to the actress and singer Kathryn Grayson , who died in 2010 and who was her great-grandfather's first cousin.
