Coitus a tergo (Latin for “sexual intercourse from behind”) or vis a tergo (Latin for “force from behind”), often shortened to a tergo (Latin for “from backwards” to tergum back), is a summary term for Several positions ( sexual practice ) and variants of having sexual intercourse in which one partner has the other's back in view.
