Leo Colovini
Leo Colovini (* 1964 in Venice ) is an Italian game designer .
Colovini has a doctorate in history. He met Alex Randolph at the age of twelve in a Venetian chess club and became a game tester for its developments. Colovini married in 1990 and had twins in 1993. He quit his secure job at a bank to open a toy store with friends. There are now several shops in Mestre , Venice and Padua . During these years Colovini mainly developed small card games.
In 1995 he founded the Venice Connection publishing house together with Alex Randolph and Dario de Toffoli . After Colovini had completed his history studies with a thesis on Charlemagne ( Carolus Magnus ) and the Lombards in Italy, he developed the game Carolus Magnus from it .
