Combat School is an action game that was developed in 1987 by the game company Konami for Arcade and in 1987 by Ocean Software for the Commodore 64 . The player has the task of completing basic training with the United States Marine Corps as a recruit .

description

Combat School is a multi-event sports game released by Ocean Software in 1987. Instead of sweating for precious metals in an Olympic stadium, the player in Combat School completes a tough training program in a US Army boot camp. The game is structured in a similar way to the Summer Games or World Games in the Epyx series . Two players can play against each other or one player can play against the computer.

After successfully completing the sixth discipline, the player enters into hand-to-hand combat with the instructor and then starts a rescue mission. Before the start of the rescue mission, the player can use a table to see the grade of service he has achieved. In the rescue mission, the player has to free hostages. A US embassy has been occupied by terrorists. The player's task is to save the hostages held there.

Disciplines

Each discipline must be completed successfully in 30 seconds. If you manage to master a discipline in less than the estimated time or to achieve more hits than required, bonus points and extra time are credited for the next discipline. If you only just fail to meet the specification, you have the opportunity to continue playing by performing penalty pull-ups by shaking the joystick.

Ports

The game was released for the following systems: Amstrad CPC , Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum .
