Come and Get Your Love is a pop rock song by the rock band Redbone . It was written by band member Lolly Vegas and produced by him and his brother Pat Vegas.
He was originally featured on the Redbone album Wovoka . The song later appeared on many of the band's "Greatest Hits" albums, as well as on numerous compilations from the 1970s. On April 22, 1974, the song was certified with a gold record by the RIAA , suggesting that more than half a million copies were sold in the United States.
In April 1974 the song reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was used in the 1994 film Dance with a Killer and in the 1999 film I Love Dick . In addition, a cover of the melody of the song appeared in the 20th episode of the American cartoon series Bob's Burgers .
In 2014, comedian Jimmy Pardo played air guitar for the original song during an interview on radio station The Bob & Tom Show .
In the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy , the main character Star Lord ( Chris Pratt ) dances to the song while he explores a ruin. The song is also used as the intro to the Netflix series F Is for Family .
