The Communauté de communes Chamousset en Lyonnais is a former French community association with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Département Rhône , whose administrative seat was in the town of Saint-Laurent-de-Chamousset . Its area was about 40 km west of Lyon and included part of the Monts du Lyonnais , a mountain range that separates the Rhone and Loire valleys . The part of the name Chamousset denotes a medieval land of the Counts of Forez , who lived in Saint-LaurentChâteau de Chamousset built. The community association founded in 1995 consisted of 14 communities on an area of 164.9 km 2 .
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association determined the housing policy and operated the sewage disposal (partially), the garbage collection and disposal as well as the road maintenance. In addition, the association built and maintained cultural and sports facilities and sponsored events in these areas. He was also responsible for the expansion of telecommunications and data transmission networks in his field.
Historical development
With effect from January 1, 2017, the association of communes merged with the Communauté de communes des Hauts du Lyonnais and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes des Monts du Lyonnais .
