It was founded on December 26, 2001 and comprised 12 parishes. The administrative seat was in Châtillon-Coligny .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Canaux et Forêts en Gâtinais .
