The Communauté de communes de la Vallée de l'Hien is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Isère department , whose administrative headquarters were in the town of Saint-Victor-de-Cessieu . The territory of the member parishes extended south of the sub-prefecture of La Tour-du-Pin in the valley of the Hien , a small tributary of the Bourbre . The community association founded in 1999 consisted of eight communities on an area of ​​78.8 km ² .

tasks

The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning on the basis of an overarching framework plan ( Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale Nord-Isère ). The community association operated the road maintenance department as well as the garbage collection and disposal.

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

• Communauté de communes Les Vallons du Guiers ,
• Communauté de communes Bourbre-Tisserands and
• Communauté de communes Les Vallons de la Tour

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Les Vals du Dauphiné .
