The Communauté de communes Bourbre-Tisserands is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Isère department , whose administrative seat was in the village of Les Abrets . The double name referred on the one hand to the river Bourbre and on the other hand to the textile industry (Weber, French Tisserand ), which has shaped the area around Les Abrets since the mid-19th century. The community association consisted of ten communities on an area of 85.7 km 2 .
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association operated the road maintenance service and the garbage collection. In addition, the association built and maintained cultural facilities and determined housing policy.
Historical development
The community association was created on January 1, 2014 from the merger of two smaller associations, namely the Communauté de communes de la Vallée de la Bourbre and the Communauté de communes La Chaîne des Tisserands . At the same time, the municipality of Saint-Ondras joined the association.
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged
- Communauté de communes Les Vallons du Guiers ,
- Communauté de communes de la Vallée de l'Hien and
- Communauté de communes Les Vallons de la Tour
and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Les Vals du Dauphiné .
