The Communauté de communes Les Vallons du Guiers is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Isère département , whose administrative seat was in the Isère-side part of the double commune of Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin . The name Vallons du Guiers refers to the valley landscape of the Guiers river , which forms the border between the Savoie and Isère departments. The association's communities were all on the west side of the river. The community association, founded in March 2001, consisted of nine communities on an area of 74.5 km 2 .
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning on the basis of an overarching framework plan ( Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale Nord-Isère ). The community association determined the housing policy and operated the road maintenance and rubbish collection. In sports and cultural affairs, the association sponsored some specific projects.
Historical development
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged
- Communauté de communes Bourbre-Tisserands ,
- Communauté de communes de la Vallée de l'Hien and
- Communauté de communes Les Vallons de la Tour
and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Les Vals du Dauphiné .
