Communauté de communes du Pays de Jeanne

The Communauté de communes du Pays de Jeanne is a former communal union of ten municipalities in the far north-west of the Vosges department in Lorraine .

The municipal association had 2,509 inhabitants (2008) on 128.73 km², which corresponded to a population density of 19 inhabitants / km². The seat of the association, which is one of the smallest in Lorraine, was the municipality of Coussey .

The name of the association, founded on December 31, 1998, points to the member community Domrémy-la-Pucelle , the birthplace of Joan of Arc - with the Joan of Arc birthplace and the Basilique du Bois-Chênu an important tourist magnet in a rather structurally weak region Surroundings. With effect from January 1, 2013, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes du Pays des Côtes et de la Ruppe and the Communauté de communes du Pays de Neufchâteau and thus formed the new Communauté de communes du Bassin de Neufchâteau .
