The Communauté de communes du Pays de Verneuil-sur-Avre is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Départements Eure , Region Normandie and Département Eure-et-Loir , Region Center-Val de Loire . It was founded on December 31, 1997 and comprised 17 parishes. The administrative seat was in Verneuil-sur-Avre . A special feature was the cross-departmental and regional membership of the municipalities.

Historical development

Breux-sur-Avre joined on January 1, 2000 . On January 1, 2004, Montigny-sur-Avre and Rueil-la-Gadelière joined, whereby the community grew beyond the borders of Upper Normandy .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

  • Communauté de communes du Canton de Breteuil-sur-Iton ,
  • Communauté de communes du Pays de Damville and
  • Communauté de communes Rurales du Sud de l'Eure

and so formed the successor organization Interco Normandie Sud Eure .
