Rueil-la-Gadelière is a French municipality with 507 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Dreux and the canton Saint-Lubin-des-Joncherets .

Rueil-la-Gadelière was formed in 1858 by merging the towns of Rueil and La Gadelière.

Hydrology

The Buternay River runs through the municipality and joins the Avre at the northern border . Several springs are taken along the Buternay and its tributary Lamblore and diverted to Paris in the Avre aqueduct to provide drinking water .
